The Ember Codex
The standing half: what 'accessible directly from Littlebird' means for an Ember Console coach
Ember's landing names Littlebird as one of three AIs that can reach Ember Console. That clause is the whole stated relationship, and here is what it covers.
Ember Console is a session-report builder for coaches, and it is in closed beta. Everything it states about Littlebird is one clause on the landing page: Ember stays “accessible directly from ChatGPT, Claude, or Littlebird”. That clause is the whole stated relationship.
Which of the three you open is the smallest decision in your setup. What happens inside Littlebird on day one is the part I have not written down yet.
What is Littlebird, and what does Ember’s landing claim?
Littlebird is a desktop AI assistant “with a memory of your work”. I read its own pages on 2026-09-28: it ran on Mac, with Windows in beta, plus iOS and Android; it made meeting notes from the computer’s audio with no bot in the room; it answered questions about what it had already seen; and it ran scheduled jobs it calls “Routines”. All of that is from its own pages, its pricing page among them, as they read on that date. I could not load them again today, so take the date seriously.
Ember’s claim is smaller, and it is only about reach. The landing names three AIs a coach may already be running, and says Ember stays reachable from them. Ember never names a recording app, and nothing on the page says Littlebird is one.
Why does which AI you open matter less than it looks?
Because the parts that decide what the report says are stored in Ember.
Your template carries your letterhead and a set of boxes. Each box holds one prompt and one eval. Every time an AI fills and builds the report it receives all those prompts and the eval system, and reworks each box until it passes the minimum standard you set.
So the work splits in two. The template, its box prompts and its evals are the half you write, and they stay put when you change the AI you call from. Call that the standing half.
That is why the landing lists the three without ranking them. Move from one to another and you have changed the half that gets handed the instructions, while the instructions stay where you put them. Whether two AIs build the same report out of the same boxes is a separate question. I have not measured it.
The standing half is where your work goes, and the box system is how it gets built. It is also the half ChatGPT alone leaves to you.
What is not stated yet?
Three questions, and they are the three to put to me before your first session.
- Is Littlebird the recording app here, an AI, or both?
- What does reaching Ember from Littlebird do, click by click?
- Is there any relationship beyond that one clause?
A fourth, because the gap invites a guess. My 2026-09-28 sweep lists an MCP server among Littlebird’s Plus features, and Ember’s free plan lists “API & MCP, connects to any AI”. Those are two facts off two pages, and nothing I have written joins them. I have described no path from one to the other, so please do not read one in.
Build the standing half now, and it will be waiting whichever of the three you open on day one.
Questions people ask next?
What does “accessible directly from Littlebird” mean?
It means Ember stays reachable from Littlebird, one of three AIs the landing names. The steps between opening Littlebird and getting a report back are not stated, because I have not written them down yet.
Does Ember Console need Littlebird?
No. Ember is callable by any local or cloud AI, and the landing names ChatGPT, Claude and Littlebird as the ones a coach may already run. Your template and its evals stay in Ember whichever you pick.
Can I change which AI I call Ember from?
The product facts do not say whether you can switch. They do say your template, its box prompts and its evals are stored in Ember, so a switch would not rewrite them. Ask me before you plan around it.
